Quran Burning
I think that this is a very controversial issue. People first amendment rights come into play here. I think that they should be allowed to burnt he Quran because that falls under people's freedom of expression. If the state has laws against people burning things in certain areas I think that the government has the right to stop the burning because it would not be going against people's freedom of expression it will be going against the law of not burning things in public areas. Do I agree with the burning of the Qurans, no. I think that burning the Qurans will be offensive to Muslims who do not have anything to do with the terrorism. Everyone has the right to believe in what ever religions they want to and for someone to burn another groups holy books i think it is very wrong and offensive. I do on the other hand think that burning the Quran is protected under the first amendment rights of the people of the United States.

I do agree with you in the sense that, according to the first amendment, it is a person's right to have freedom of expression. But at some point, I feel like a boundary of how you chose to express yourself needs to be put established. It is definitely a controversial issue, but I think the whole first amendment thing kinda cancels out considering Reverend Jones has made this into a publicity thing and is using this "expression" as a threat to get the government to do something. I'm not so sure that in this particular case, the burning of the books is protected under the first amendment.
